When you sign up, we collect your name, email, phone number, and (if you list a room) the location, price, and details of your property or the area you're searching in. We also collect basic usage and device information, including your IP address for security, so we can keep RoomPin safe and improve it. If you use the RoomPin app and allow notifications, your device registers a notification token so we can alert you to new messages and matches.
How we use it
Your information is used only to match you with relevant tenants or owners, to power your inbox and connection requests, and to send you account-related notifications. We do not sell your data, ever.
Who can see what
Your name and your listing or search details are visible to other RoomPin users. Your phone number stays private by default: it's shared with the other person only once you connect (both sides accept), and it's never shown publicly. Your email is never shown to other users.
Cookies & sessions
We use a secure, http-only session cookie to keep you logged in for 7 days, plus a separate cookie to prevent cross-site request forgery. On the website we also use the Meta (Facebook) Pixel to measure how our ads perform. It never receives your name, email or phone number, and you can opt out with your browser's cookie controls or an ad blocker. Our full Privacy Policy explains this in detail.
Your rights
You can delete your account at any time from your Profile page, which permanently removes your listings or search and your messages. If you have a privacy question, email contact@roompin.in.

Using RoomPin
RoomPin is a matching platform: we help you find rooms, apartments, and roommates. Whether you end up renting directly from a property owner or sharing a flat with a roommate or flatmate is entirely your decision; we only connect the two sides and are not a party to your arrangement. You must be 18 or older to use the service. By signing up you confirm the information you post is accurate and is yours to share.
Brokerage & platform fees
RoomPin does not charge users any commission, brokerage, or platform fee. Any brokerage is arranged directly between the parties involved, and we don't collect or facilitate it. We are not a party to any rental or brokerage agreement you enter into.
Acceptable use
Don't post fake or duplicate listings or searches. Don't spam other users. Don't impersonate someone else. Don't use RoomPin for any unlawful purpose, including discrimination on legally protected grounds. We may remove listings and suspend accounts that violate these rules.
Verification & safety
We verify each account via email and one-time password. We do not independently verify property documents, ownership, or tenant identity beyond this, so please do your own due diligence before signing any agreement or making payments.
No warranty
RoomPin is provided "as is". We don't guarantee that you'll find a match, that listings are accurate, or that the service will be uninterrupted. We're a small team building this in public, and we'll keep improving it.
Changes
We may update these terms as the product evolves. Continued use of RoomPin after a change means you accept the new terms. For questions, email contact@roompin.in.
